§ 5-6-20. Expiration and renewal of certificates and licenses.
(a) All certificates and/or licenses issued by the division of professional regulation expire on the birthday of the individual qualifying for the certificate and/or license and may be renewed on or after that date for a period of two (2) years upon payment of the appropriate renewal fee, which shall be equal to the license fees prescribed in § 5-6-16, plus outstanding license fees and a twelve dollar ($12.00) per-month administrative assessment fee for the delinquency period.
(b) Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter, any license issued under this chapter that is not renewed within two (2) years of the date of its expiration, shall be deemed to be forfeited, and the person to whom the license has been issued shall be required to make written application for an examination prior to the issuance of a new license.
