The 2019 amendment, effective July 1, 2019, in subsection (b), in the first sentence, inserted “academic” and inserted “fieldwork” near the middle and substituted “contained in paragraphs (2) and (3) of subsection (a) of Code Section 43-28-9” for “this chapter” at the end, in the second sentence, substituted “Such” for “This” at the beginning and substituted “expiration date of the limited permit or the applicant has passed or failed the examination for licensure” for “the date on which the results of the next qualifying examination have been made public” at the end, added the third sentence, and substituted “A” for “This” at the beginning of fourth sentence; substituted the present provisions of subsections (d) for the former provisions, which read: “Any person who is issued a license as an occupational therapist under the terms of this chapter may use the words “occupational therapist registered,” “licensed occupational therapist,” or “occupational therapist,” or he may use the letters “O.T.R.,” “L.O.T.,” “O.T.,” or “O.T.R./L.” in connection with his name or place of business to denote registration under this chapter.”; and substituted the present provisions of subsection (e) for the former provisions, which read: “Any person who is issued a license as an occupational therapy assistant under the terms of this chapter may use the words “occupational therapy assistant,” “licensed occupational therapy assistant,” or “certified occupational therapy assistant” or may use the letters “O.T.A.,” “L.O.T.A.,” “C.O.T.A.,” or “C.O.T.A./L.” in connection with his name or place of business.”
The 2020 amendment, effective July 29, 2020, part of an Act to revise, modernize, and correct the Code, substituted “requirements contained in” for “requirements of contained in” in the first sentence of subsection (b).
The 2021 amendment, effective July 1, 2021, substituted “this article” for “this chapter” near the middle of subsection (a), near the end of paragraph (d)(1), and near the end of paragraph (e)(1).
