§ 43-28-10. Examinations

The 2019 amendment, effective July 1, 2019, in subsection (a), inserted “or her” near the middle of the first sentence and deleted the former third sentence, which read: “A person who fails an examination may make reapplication for reexamination accompanied by the prescribed fee.”; substituted the present provisions of subsection (b) for the former provisions, which read: “Each applicant for licensure under this chapter shall be examined by the board in written examination to test his knowledge of the basic and clinical sciences relating to occupational therapy and occupational therapy theory and practice, including the applicant’s professional skills and judgment in the utilization of occupational therapy techniques and methods and such other subjects as the board may deem useful to determine the applicant’s fitness to practice. The board shall establish the standards for acceptable performance by the applicant.”; substituted the present provisions of subsection (c) for the former provisions, which read: “Examinations shall be given at least twice a year.”; and deleted former subsection (d), which read: “Applicants may obtain their examination scores and may review their papers in accordance with such rules and regulations as the board may establish.”
The 2021 amendment, effective July 1, 2021, substituted “this article” for “this chapter” near the beginning of subsection (b).
