§ 953. Sales, record
The State Treasurer, with the approval of the Governor, is hereby authorized to sell such bonds at such prices, in such amount, at such times, and in such manner, with or without advertising the same, as he or she shall determine to be for the best interests of the State, at public or private sale. The State Treasurer shall keep an accurate record of each and every bond when issued, the number and denomination of each bond when issued, when and where payable, to whom sold, and the rate of interest or the investment return thereon and shall keep an accurate record of all payments of interest, principal, investment return, and maturity value. Interest and the investment return on such bonds shall be exempt from taxation in this State. (Added 1959, No. 24, § 3, eff. March 10, 1959; amended 1989, No. 276 (Adj. Sess.), § 23, eff.
