ยง 242. Supervisor to institute proceedings. The supervisor of any such
town shall, when directed by the town board, institute and prosecute
proceedings under this chapter, in the name of the town, to compel the
town board of such adjoining town or towns to cause the town
superintendents thereof to join in the building, rebuilding or repair of
any such bridge, in like manner as freeholders are thereby authorized.
