§ 18-4-15. Parties to Garnishment; Basis for Exemption; Form; Challenge to Garnishment

History. Code 1981, § 18-4-15 , enacted by Ga. L. 2016, p. 8, § 1/SB 255; Ga. L. 2020, p. 691, § 12/SB 443.
The 2020 amendment, effective January 1, 2021, in the first sentence of subsection (a), inserted “, an order to disburse funds is issued,”, deleted “before” preceding “money”, and substituted “distributed by the court, whichever occurs first” for “distributed,”; substituted “Except as provided in subsection (h) of this Code section, upon” for “Upon” at the beginning of subsection (d); and added subsection (h).
