Section 4-37v. - Limit on aggregate principal amount of energy consumption and environmental impact lease financings.

(a) The aggregate principal amount of energy consumption and environmental impact lease financings that are in effect on or after July 1, 2021, shall not exceed fifteen million dollars for such lease financings that are: (1) Entered into by the state directly or through a state agency for improvements in state-owned buildings, (2) for the purpose of reducing energy consumption or environmental impacts, and (3) not otherwise exempt from such fifteen-million-dollar aggregate amount pursuant to a provision of a public or special act.

(b) For the purposes of this section, “state agency” means any office, department, board, council, commission, institution, constituent unit of the state system of higher education, technical education and career school or other agency in the executive, legislative or judicial branch of state government.
