§ 209. Vacancy
(a) A supervisor may resign at any time by notice to the chairperson of the legislative body of the municipality represented. The Board shall declare, by written certification to the legislative body of a member municipality, a vacancy for the position of the supervisor from that member municipality after the supervisor has failed to attend three consecutive meetings of the Board within one year beginning in March and ending in February of the subsequent year.
(b) Upon resignation, death, certification of vacancy by the Board, or removal from the municipality by a supervisor the legislative body of that member shall appoint a supervisor for the remainder of the term of such supervisor within 45 days. The appointment shall be certified by the clerk of the member to the Clerk of the District.
(c) For any vacancy, the number of votes attributable to such municipality shall not be counted for purposes of determining a quorum or the number of votes eligible to be cast by the Board during the period of such vacancy.
