§ 2725. Dealers and service persons of weighing and measuring devices; registration certificate; hand seal
(a) Any person wishing to be registered as a dealer or service person shall apply to the Secretary upon forms provided by the Agency, and each application shall be accompanied by a fee of $60.00. Upon approval, the Secretary shall issue to the applicant a registration certificate that shall expire on June 30 unless sooner suspended or revoked under section 2726 of this title. Any service person who applies for a registration certificate must have obtained a hand seal that has a number registered with the Secretary. Any service person who has been granted a registration certificate shall, with the hand seal, seal all meters with a lead and wire seal at the time as he or she installs, repairs, or adjusts the meters.
(b) Any person who installs bulk milk tanks for remuneration or as a term of the sale of such tank shall be registered as a dealer of weighing and measuring devices, prior to the installation of the tank. Such person shall follow the procedure set forth in subsection (a) of this section in applying for the registration certificate and shall comply with all applicable laws.
