93 - Custody of Records.

ยง 93. Custody of records. 1. The secretary of state shall have the
custody of all laws and concurrent resolutions of the legislature, all
documents issued under the great seal, all books, records, deeds,
parchments, maps and papers deposited or kept in his or her office, and
shall properly arrange and preserve them.

2. The records in the custody of the secretary of state need not be
retained in the form in which the record is received so long as the
technology used to retain such record results in a permanent record
which may be accurately reproduced during the period for which the
record is required to be retained. The secretary of state may promulgate
rules and regulations relating to the use by the department of state of
automatic data processing, telecommunications and other information
technologies for the processing of records for retention by the
department of state.
