640 - Fair Treatment Standards for Crime Victims.

ยง 640. Fair treatment standards for crime victims. 1. The commissioner
of the division of criminal justice services, in consultation with the
director of the office of victim services and other appropriate
officials, shall promulgate standards for the treatment of the innocent
victims of crime by the agencies which comprise the criminal justice
system of the state.

2. For the purposes of this article the term "criminal justice" shall
include juvenile justice and the objectives and criteria set forth in
sections six hundred forty-one and six hundred forty-two of this article
shall apply to presentment agencies as defined in subdivision twelve of
section 301.2 of the family court act.
