New York Laws
Title 3 - General Powers and Duties of the Department
11-0313 - Waters Closed to Taking of Fish.

The department shall have power by regulation to close any waters of
the state to the taking of fish whenever an environmental investigation
it causes to be made reveals that fish life in such waters is in
imminent danger of undue depletion because of low water levels brought
on by drought. Any such regulation shall remain in force until the
department finds that the low water emergency has passed and repeals the
regulation.
