Article 15 - Interstate Compacts
Section 72-15-12 - [Ratification and approval.]

The ratification and approval of said compact by this state shall not be binding or obligatory until it shall have been likewise approved by the legislature of the state of Colorado and by the congress of the United States.

Date of ratification. — Costilla Creek Water Compact between New Mexico and Colorado, of which the supreme court takes notice, was duly entered into and ratified by the two states and approved by the congress of the United States on July 11, 1946. State ex rel. Reynolds v. W.S. Ranch Co., 1961-NMSC-061, 69 N.M. 169, 364 P.2d 1036.
