Money distributed from the fund shall be expended only for the purposes stated in the application to the bureau and shall be expended on the authorization of the chief executive of the municipality or county upon vouchers issued by its treasurer.

The 2017 amendment, effective June, 16, 2017, deleted "incorporated" preceding "municipality".
The 1994 amendment, effective July 1, 1994, added "Funding program" at the beginning of the catchline, deleted "emergency medical services" in two places, deleted "of the health services division of the health and environment department" following "bureau", inserted "or" following "municipality", deleted "or fire district" following "county", and corrected a misspelling.
