Sec. 482.
Any officer who shall collect or receive any moneys on account of any fine, penalty, forfeiture, or recognizance, and shall neglect or refuse to pay over the same according to law, or shall appropriate or dispose of the same to his or her own use, or in any manner not authorized by law, is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 1 year or a fine of not more than $1,000.00.
