§ 7-1-689. Record Keeping; Investigations and Examinations by Department; Subpoenas; Confidentiality; Limitations on Civil Liability

The 2018 amendment, effective May 3, 2018, in the last sentence of the introductory paragraph of subsection (l), substituted “website, upon” for “website or upon” and inserted “, or in the Nation-wide Multistate Licensing System and Registry” near the end. See Editor’s notes for applicability.
The 2019 amendment, effective July 1, 2019, substituted “60 months” for “24 months” at the end of the second sentence of subsection (d).
The 2020 amendments.
The first 2020 amendment, effective January 1, 2021, substituted “unique identifier” for “license numbers” in paragraph (l)(1). The second 2020 amendment, effective July 29, 2020, part of an Act to revise, modernize, and correct the Code, substituted “Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry” for “Nation-wide Multistate Licensing System and Registry” in the last sentence of subsection (l).
The 2022 amendment, effective July 1, 2022, deleted “and” from the end of subparagraph (f)(1)(B), added subparagraph (f)(1)(C), redesignated former subparagraph (f)(1)(C) as subparagraph (f)(1)(D), substituted “state, including, but not limited to, investigations pursuant to a multistate licensing process;” for “state; and” at the end of subparagraph (f)(5)(B), added “; and” at the end of subparagraph (f)(5)(C), and added subparagraph (f)(5)(D).

Ga. L. 2018, p. 214, § 26(b)/HB 780, not codified by the General Assembly, provides that: “It is not the intent of the General Assembly to affect the law applicable to litigation pending as of March 9, 2018.
