Article 2 - State Plane Coordinate System
§ 44-4-24. Recordation of Coordinates of Point Prohibited Unless Connected by Survey to Monumented Horizontal Control Station

No coordinates based on either Georgia State Plane Coordinate System purporting to define the position of a point on a land boundary shall be presented to be recorded in any public land records or deed records unless such point has been connected by survey to a monumented horizontal control station that is identified and has been established in conformity with the standards of accuracy and specifications as shall be specified by rules and regulations established by the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.

The 2022 amendment, effective July 1, 2022, redesignated former Code Section 44-4-25 as present Code Section 44-4-24, and rewrote this Code section.
