As used in this part, the term:
(.1) “Business day” means any day that is not a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday.
(2.1) “Lien action” means a lawsuit, proof of claim in a bankruptcy case, or a binding arbitration.

The 2008 amendment, effective March 31, 2009, added paragraphs (.1) and (2.1).
The 2021 amendment, effective May 10, 2021, in paragraphs (2), (5), and (6), substituted “shall have the same meaning as provided” for “means the same as the definition thereof”, added paragraph (7), and redesignated former paragraphs (7) through (9) as present paragraphs (8) through (10), respectively. L. 2021, p. 674, § 7/HB 480, not codified by the General Assembly, provides: “This Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its becoming law without such approval and Sections 2 through 8 of this Act shall apply to labor, services, or materials performed or furnished by registered interior designers on or after such date” This Act was approved by the Governor on May 10, 2021.
