This article is enacted for the purpose of safeguarding the public health, safety, and welfare by providing for state administrative control, supervision, and regulation of the practice of physical therapy. The practice of physical therapy is declared to be affected with the public interest; and this article shall be liberally construed so as to accomplish the purpose stated in this Code section.

The 2019 amendment, effective July 1, 2019, purported to substitute “this article” for “this chapter” at the beginning of the first sentence, and substituted “this article” for “this chapter” in the second sentence.
