(a) For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023, the Commissioner of Public Health shall increase the rates for the conveyance and treatment of patients by licensed ambulance services and invalid coaches and the rates for certified ambulance services and paramedic intercept services established pursuant to subparagraph (A) of subdivision (9) of section 19a-177 in proportion to the appropriations made available to the Department of Public Health for the administration of the provisions of said section.
(b) Not later than January 1, 2023, the commissioner shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a, to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to public safety and appropriations and the budgets of state agencies regarding the amount of such rates for the preceding ten fiscal years.
