Part 7 - Coordinated System of Payment for Early Intervention Services for Infants and Toddlers
§ 27-10.5-703. Early Intervention Services - Administration - Duties of Department - Rules



(3) [ Editor's note: This version of introductory portion to subsection (3) is effective July 1, 2022. ] In administering early intervention services, the department shall perform the following duties:


(c) [ Editor's note: This version of subsection (3)(c) is effective July 1, 2022. ] To ensure eligibility determination for a child with disabilities from birth through two years of age, based in part on information received concerning the screening and evaluation;

(d) [ Editor's note: This version of subsection (3)(d) is effective July 1, 2022. ] To ensure that an individualized family service plan is developed for infants and toddlers from birth through two years of age who are eligible for early intervention services. The IFSP must be developed in compliance with part C requirements, including the mandatory IFSP meeting at which the family receives information concerning the results of the initial early intervention evaluation. The initial IFSP must be developed in collaboration with a representative from an evaluation provider that participated in the child's evaluation. The representative shall participate in the initial meeting for the development of the child's IFSP.


(f) [ Editor's note: This version of subsection (3)(f) is effective July 1, 2024. ] To coordinate training and provide technical assistance to certified early intervention service brokers, service providers, and other constituents who are involved in the delivery of early intervention services to infants and toddlers from birth through two years of age;

(g) [ Editor's note: This version of subsection (3)(g) is effective July 1, 2024. ] To monitor and evaluate early intervention services provided through this part 7;

(h) [ Editor's note: This version of subsection (3)(h) is effective July 1, 2024. ] To coordinate contracts, expenditures, and billing for early intervention services provided through this part 7; and
