The county license commissioner shall take applications for driver's licenses or renewals thereof, temporary driver permits, and other motor vehicles operator's licenses and give receipts for the fees paid therefor. All such applications shall be handled in every respect as prescribed in this code. The same fees and charges may be collected and remitted in the manner therein and herein prescribed, except that issuance fees therein prescribed for the judges of probate or other issuing officials shall be collected for the use of the county and shall be paid into the general fund in the county treasury at the same time that other monies due the county under this part are paid.
