(a) Additional alternative programs to prepare teachers established or adopted solely by the State Board of Education are separate from the programs established under 18A-3-1b, 18A-3-1g, and 18A-3-1h of this code, do not required any partner, and are applicable only to persons who hold a bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
(b) These programs are subject to other provisions of this article only to the extent specifically provided in state board rules.
(c) These programs may be an alternative to the standard college and university programs for the education of teacher and also may address the content area preparation of these persons.
