Section 454.001. Applicability; Determination of Death

Sec. 454.001. APPLICABILITY; DETERMINATION OF DEATH. (a) This subchapter applies in a proceeding to probate a person's will or administer a person's estate if there is no direct evidence that the person is dead.
(b) The court has jurisdiction to determine the fact, time, and place of the person's death.
