34-21-3. Governor's agreement for discontinuance of federal responsibility--Funds available for establishment of protection program.
The Governor, on behalf of this state, is authorized to enter into agreements with the federal government providing for the discontinuance of certain of the federal government's responsibilities with respect to sources of radiation and assumption thereof by this state. This authority for the Governor to enter into an agreement with the environmental protection agency is granted only under the condition that funds are made available for the establishment of an adequate radiation protection program within the agency prior to the signing of this agreement.
