RCW 81.88.090
Federal certification for pipeline safety program—Commission's duties.
The commission shall maintain federal certification for the state's pipeline safety program. The commission, at a minimum, shall do the following:
(1) Inspect hazardous liquid pipelines and gas pipelines periodically as specified in the inspection program;
(2) Collect fees;
(3) Order and oversee the testing of hazardous liquid pipelines and gas pipelines as authorized by federal law and regulation; and
(4) File reports with the United States secretary of transportation as required to maintain federal certification.
