970-J - Relocation of Displaced Persons.

ยง 970-j. Relocation of displaced persons. The legislative body shall
prepare a feasible plan for relocation of all families and persons to be
temporarily or permanently displaced from housing facilities in the
project area. The legislative body shall insure that such plan for the
relocation of families or single persons to be displaced by a project
shall provide that no person or family of low and moderate income shall
be displaced unless and until there is suitable housing available and
ready for occupancy by such displaced person or family at rents
comparable to those paid at the time of their displacement. Such housing
shall be suitable to the needs of such displaced person or family
including, but not limited to, access to work, adequate space and other
financial considerations and such housing must be decent, safe,
sanitary, and otherwise standard dwellings. The agency shall not
displace such person or family until such housing is available and ready
for occupancy.
