1. Any person violating any provision of section 17-1715 shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor, and punishable by a fine of not more than five
hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not more than one year or by both
such fine and imprisonment.
2. It shall be the duty of the board of health of any municipality
where any violation of section 17-1715 shall occur to cause the same to
be abated; provided that any person aggrieved by any such fall, flow or
discharge may also cause such abatement, by injunction or other
appropriate action or proceeding.
