ยง 604. Supervision of public health programs. In order to be eligible
for state aid, under this title, each municipality shall employ a
full-time local commissioner of health or public health director to
supervise the provision of public health services for that municipality,
subject to the following exceptions:
1. such person may serve as the head of a merged agency or multiple
agencies, if the approval of the commissioner is obtained; and
2. such person may serve as the local commissioner of health or public
health director of additional counties, when authorized pursuant to
section three hundred fifty-one of this chapter.
