§ 381. The legislative body of a county may, for the convenience of
the county, designate certain named county officers and employees to
apply for notary commissions and pay the necessary fees therefor from
county funds. Such payment shall be deemed to be for a county purpose.
No fee shall be charged or collected by such officer or employee for any
notarial act performed by him.
