§ 213. Membership in retirement system or service credit not allowed
for employment under this article. a. The provisions of any local law
or charter notwithstanding, no retired person employed in public service
pursuant to the provisions of this article shall be required or
permitted to become a member of any retirement system or pension plan
administered by the state or any of its political subdivisions.
b. Member service credit may not be purchased or granted in any
retirement system or pension plan administered by the state or any of
its political subdivisions for any period of employment in public
service authorized under the provisions of this article.
