207 - Abolition of Register or Registrar.

ยง 207. Abolition of register or registrar. The office of register or
registrar, where such office exists in any county operating under an
alternative form of county government, may be abolished by local law and
its functions, powers and duties transferred to the county clerk, and
such local law shall not require submission to the people. Such
abolition and transfer may also be provided for in the petition or
resolution by which an alternative form of county government, or a
change in such a form, is initiated.
