§ 185. Estimates of articles required to be furnished. On or before
July first in each year, the proper officials of the state, and the
political subdivisions thereof, and of the institutions of the state, or
political subdivisions thereof, shall report to the department of
corrections and community supervision estimates for the ensuing year of
the amount of supplies of different kinds required to be purchased by
them that can be furnished by the correctional facilities in the state.
The commissioner of corrections and community supervision is authorized
to make regulations for said reports, to provide for the manner in which
requisitions shall be made for supplies, and to provide for the proper
diversification of the industries in the correctional facilities.
