ยง 1200. Unclaimed property paid or deposited in federal courts. All
money or other property which shall have been, or shall hereafter be,
paid into or deposited in the custody of, or be under the control of,
any court of the United States in and for any district within the state,
or shall have been or hereafter shall be in the custody of any
depository, registry, clerk, or other officer of such court, and the
rightful owner or owners thereof either (a) shall have been or shall be
unknown for a period of ten consecutive years; or (b) shall have died or
shall die without having disposed thereof, and without having left or
without leaving a will disposing thereof, and without having left or
without leaving heirs, next-of-kin, or distributees; or (c) shall have
abandoned or shall abandon such funds or property, are declared to have
escheated or to escheat, together with all interest accrued thereon, to
and to have become or to become the property of the state.
