(1) All references to a part, title, article or section number or
letter refer to the part, title, article or section so numbered or
lettered in this chapter, and all references in any section of this
chapter to a numbered or lettered subsection, paragraph, subparagraph,
item or clause refer to the subsection, paragraph, subparagraph, item or
clause so numbered or lettered in such section.
(2) All references to former provisions of chapter twenty-eight of the
consolidated laws refer to provisions of the former insurance law
enacted by chapter eight hundred eighty-two of the laws of nineteen
hundred thirty-nine.
(b) In other laws of this state, references to the former insurance
law repealed by this chapter, and to any article, section or other
provision thereof, refer to this chapter and its provisions which
correspond to the repealed article, section or other provision.
