To be eligible to be admitted and hired as a teaching resident under the program, an individual must:
A. hold a bachelor's degree; and
B. be a professional from outside the field of education and have strong content knowledge or a record of achievement; or
C. not hold a level one, two or three-A teaching license.

Effective dates. — Laws 2020, ch. 25 contained no effective date provision, but, pursuant to N.M. Const., art. IV, § 23, was effective May 20, 2020, 90 days after adjournment of the legislature.
