Any constable receiving fees as provided by law shall publish and set up in some conspicuous place in his or her office a fee table for public inspection. A sum not exceeding $20 for each day of the constable’s omission so to do shall be forfeited, which sum with costs may be recovered by any person by an action before any justice of the peace of the same county.
