Sec. 58.
(1) A person shall not be excused from attending and testifying, or producing any books, papers, or other documents before any court or magistrate, arbitrator or board of arbitrators, upon any investigation, proceeding, or trial, for a violation of any of the provisions of this act, upon the ground or for the reason that the testimony or evidence documentary or otherwise, required of him or her may tend to incriminate him or her; but a person shall not be prosecuted or subjected to any penalty or forfeiture for or on account of any transaction, matter, or thing concerning which he or she may so testify or produce evidence, documentary or otherwise, and testimony so given or produced shall not be used against him or her upon any criminal investigation or proceeding.
(2) A person required by this act to take an oath or affirmation who makes a false oath or affirmation is guilty of perjury.
