Sec. 7.
Each MEOG shall not exceed the amount of remaining financial need for the full academic year as reported by the postsecondary school in which the student at any particular school is enrolled, or $1,000.00, whichever is less. If the number of eligible applicants exceeds the money available, priority shall be given to students with the greatest financial need as determined by each educational institution.
