Section 10. Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed to affect adversely the rights of any person who is a member of any contributory retirement system established under the provisions of sections one to twenty-eight, inclusive, of chapter thirty-two or under corresponding provisions of earlier laws, with reference to accumulated total deductions or benefits accrued or to be accrued on account of any service rendered by him.
