§112. Employment policies
Except as otherwise provided in the Maine Medical Use of Cannabis Act, an employer: [PL 2017, c. 409, Pt. A, §6 (NEW); PL 2021, c. 669, §5 (REV).]
1. Cannabis in workplace. Is not required to permit or accommodate the use, consumption, possession, trade, display, transportation, sale or cultivation of cannabis or cannabis products in the workplace;

2. Workplace policies regarding cannabis use. May enact and enforce workplace policies restricting the use of cannabis and cannabis products by employees in the workplace or while otherwise engaged in activities within the course and scope of employment; and

3. Discipline of employees. May discipline employees who are under the influence of cannabis in the workplace or while otherwise engaged in activities within the course and scope of employment in accordance with the employer's workplace policies regarding the use of cannabis and cannabis products by employees.
