Chapter 29. Hoosier Veteran License Plates
9-18.5-29-3. Eligibility

Sec. 3. (a) An individual who registers a vehicle under this title may apply for and receive a Hoosier veteran license plate for one (1) or more vehicles upon doing the following:
(1) Completing an application for a Hoosier veteran license plate.
(2) Presenting one (1) of the following to the bureau:
(A) A United States Uniformed Services Retiree Identification Card.
(B) A DD 214 or DD 215 record.
(C) United States military discharge papers.
(D) A current armed forces identification card.
(E) A credential issued to the individual that contains an indication of veteran status under IC 9-24-11-5.5.
(3) Paying a fee in an amount of fifteen dollars ($15).
(b) The bureau shall distribute at least one (1) time each month the fee described in subsection (a)(3) to the director of veterans' affairs for deposit in the military family relief fund established under IC 10-17-12-8.
