Sec. 9. The auditor of state shall, on or before the tenth day of April of each year and quarterly on or before the tenth day of the month thereafter, distribute the funds set aside in accordance with the provisions of section 7 of this chapter or the portion of them as reported to the auditor of state, to the general fund of the treasury of the city or town on the basis provided for in this chapter.
