Sec. 13. (a) Before November 1, 2022, the office shall research and compile data concerning the total Medicaid reimbursement for inpatient hospital services and outpatient hospital and clinical services, distinguishing base rates, supplemental payment rates, and any other payment that contributes to total Medicaid reimbursement, for Indiana and all states bordering Indiana, by Medicaid provider type, for the following services:
(1) Prenatal obstetric and gynecological services.
(2) Pregnancy delivery care.
(3) Postnatal care.
(4) Wellness pediatric services.
(b) Not later than December 1, 2022, the office shall prepare a report of the office's findings under subsection (a) and submit the report to the general assembly in an electronic format under IC 5-14-6. The report must include base Medicaid reimbursement rates for each state and a comparison with Indiana base Medicaid reimbursement rates.
(c) This section expires January 1, 2023.
