Sec. 23. Before December 1, 2021, the office shall apply to the United States Department of Health and Human Services for an amendment to the state Medicaid plan to require Medicaid reimbursement for the purpose of authorizing Medicaid rehabilitation option services as an eligible service concurrent with reimbursement under the residential treatment program, level of care 3.1 for the clinically managed low-intensity residential services facilities, as set forth by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), if the authorized Medicaid rehabilitation option services are not currently reimbursed as an eligible service under the ASAM 3.1 level of care Section 1115 Medicaid demonstration waiver bundled rate.
