Sec. 8. On or before December 1, 2018, and periodically thereafter, the board shall conduct a review and submit a report to the legislative council in an electronic format under IC 5-14-6. The report:
(1) must provide an overview of the current status of school safety across the state; and
(2) may make recommendations to improve the safety of elementary and secondary school students.
