The 2015 amendments. —
The first 2015 amendment, effective March 13, 2015, part of an Act to revise, modernize, and correct the Code, revised punctuation in paragraph (a)(5). The second 2015 amendment, effective July 1, 2015, deleted “, with the approval of the state accounting officer,” following “as the board” in paragraph (a)(1); substituted “of the board” for “of the state accounting officer” in the first sentence in paragraph (a)(4); deleted former paragraph (a)(5), which read: “Prepare and maintain a public roster containing the names and business addresses of all current licensees and individuals registered as foreign accountants. A copy of such roster shall be available upon request at a fee prescribed by the board sufficient to cover the cost of printing.”; redesignated paragraphs (a)(6) through (a)(8) as paragraphs (a)(5) through (a)(7), respectively; and substituted “the board” for “the state accounting officer” near the beginning of subsection (b). Ga. L. 2015, p. 5, § 54(e)/HB 90, not codified by the General Assembly, provides: “In the event of a conflict between a provision in Sections 1 through 53 of this Act and a provision of another Act enacted at the 2015 regular session of the General Assembly, the provision of such other Act shall control over the conflicting provision in Sections 1 through 53 of this Act to the extent of the conflict.” Accordingly, the amendment to paragraph (a)(5) of this Code section by Ga. L. 2015, p. 5, § 43/HB 90, was not given effect.
