§ 43-18-8. Identification of Body or Remains of Deceased; Affidavit Required for Cremated Remains

History. Code 1981, § 43-18-8 , enacted by Ga. L. 1995, p. 839, § 1; Ga. L. 2002, p. 641, § 4; Ga. L. 2021, p. 342, § 2/HB 124.
The 2021 amendment, effective May 4, 2021, in the first sentence of paragraph (a)(2), substituted “a cremation device” for “the retort” in the middle and substituted “cremation device” for “retort” near the end.

Pursuant to Code Section 28-9-5, in 2002, “the” was inserted preceding “person” near the end of paragraph (a)(2).
