§ 40-2-137. Notice of Insurance Coverage and Termination; Lapses in Insurance Coverage; Insurance Coverage for Active Duty Military Personnel

The 2019 amendment, effective July 1, 2019, substituted “Department of Insurance” for “Insurance Department” in the second sentence of subparagraph (b)(1)(C).
The 2020 amendment, effective July 29, 2020, part of an Act to revise, modernize, and correct the Code, inserted “the” preceding “vehicle identification number” in the second sentence of subparagraph (b)(1)(B).

Ga. L. 2002, p. 1024, § 7, not codified by the General Assembly, provides: “This Act shall become effective November 1, 2002; provided, however, that the Act shall be effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its becoming law without such approval for the purposes of the authority of the commissioner to adopt rules and regulations and to employ staff and expend moneys within the limits of funds appropriated or otherwise made available for such purpose.
