In addition to the oath required of all public officers, the county surveyor must take the following oath before entering on the duties of his office:
“I, _______________ , swear that I will, to the best of my skill and knowledge, discharge the duties of surveyor of _______________ County and that I will not admeasure, survey, or lay out any land, in my capacity as such, or knowingly permit or cause it to be done, without a warrant first obtained for that purpose. So help me God.”
At the same time, he shall give bond and security in the sum of $1,000.00.
